Wear White Lunch

 On Tuesday-19-August the Bogota Seniors held a wear white meeting. This took place in the Bogota Senior Centre. A majority of those in attendance wore white. The theme continued with the centre decorated with white tablecloths, and white balloons. Some of the lunch items like Cheese Tortellini in an Alfredo Sauce and White Rice with Chickpeas matched the colour palette of the day. This included the tickets for the Fair Share raffle also being the colour white.
  The Tortellini was baked by Ms. Mary Wynman. The White Rice was cooked by Ms. Liz Castro. Ms. Gisele Lamana provided Brazilian  appetizers that were filled with chicken coxinha, hot dog roll, ground beef kibbeh, ground beef coxinha and cheese and ham risoles.
  Music was provided by Mr. Ivan Thomas playing dining music on the piano. His selection  was a mixed of Classica music, songs by the Beatles, and 60’s & 70’s popular tunes. Mr. Thomas was played the  National Anthem and God Bless America.
 Some announcement during the meeting were to say that the Bogota Swim Club has a Senior Discounts on Mondays. Another activity  is to have a group walk around the new running track at Feigel Field. This will be on Mondays starting in September and begin at 10:00a. There will be Chair Yoga on Tuesday-26-August in the Senior Centre at 11:00a. Sign-ups are now open for a Casino Trip in Bethlehem Penna. On Monday-6-October leaving Bogota at 8:30a.
 After the Fair Share Raffle, music was played so members could get-up and dance in the front of the room. Bubble machines and spinning lights where turned on to enhance the mood.
 The next Bogota Seniors meeting will be Tuesday-2-September at 11:30a. It will be in the Senior Centre on the Second Floor of 375 Larch Ave. with Bagels and Fruits being provided.
