Farmers Swap

 On Saturday-16-August the Bogart Memorial Church in Bogota NJ held the first of three Farmers Swap Day. This took place in the Courtyard of the church. Mr. Siddtesh Nethrapalli  and Mr. Micah Wu set up tables inside the Gazebo.
 The Farmers Swap is to reduce food waste and allow residents to donate surplus produce that can be taken by anyone who will use the items. A few people came with produce to donate and took other items they felt would be used in their kitchen. Others came to see what was available, sometimes taking only a few items, or just to see what was offered.
 Some of the produce on display this day was Corn, Tomatoes and Peppers. There was also a wide variety of Herbs including Basil, Mint, Sage, Chinese Chive, and Thyme. Members of the Bogota Community Garden left bags of mixed Herbs that had been harvested this year.
 The next Farmers Swap will take place on Saturday-23-August in the Courtyard of the church. This will start at 10:00a and is open to the Public to donate items, or to take items as needed. Bogart Memorial Church is located at 263 Larch Ave, Bogota NJ.
 Also, on Saturday-23-August Bogart Memorial Church will host a Community Ice Cream Social at 3:00p in the Courtyard. This is open to the Public at no charge. It is asked that anyone wishing to attend use the Q-R code to register on the flyer below.
