The Bogota Lady Bucs Basketball Team traveled to Waldwick on Tuesday 3-Feb and suffered a 12-42 lost to the Lady Warriors. Gwenth Trujillo lead Bogota with 4 Points, and Emma O'Brien had one Three Point Basket. They next play on Thursday 5- February  when they host Cresskill at Speary Gym starting at 4:00p.

The Bogota Men's Basketball played Waldwick at Home in Speary Gym. The Bucs needed an after time free throw to even the score at 15 at the end of the First Quarter.  Bogota then doubled up the Warriors to take a 33-24 lead into the half.   At the start of the Third Quarter Bogota kept limiting the open space Waldwick could operate, forcing turnovers & missed shots as the Bucs came away with a 68-55 victory.
Over the last few seasons these games have been physical and emotional, this one was no exception.  The tight play and high pace leads to a lot of body contact. Both Coaches encouraging their teams to make  aggressive  plays, but also called their players out when they would cross the line by make unnecessary & dangerous fouls.
Anthony Ovalle lead all scorers with 23 Points, with Riley Toolen of Waldwick coming in with 22 Points. Mr. Toolen also had a game high 4 Three point shots with  the Bucs' Andrew Riad  had 3 Three point baskets. Mr. Ovalle went 11-14 from the Free Throw line.
Bogota next travel to Cresskill for a game on Thursday 5- February  starting at 7:00p
