Reminder:

  Bogota Blog NJ along with Bogota Beautiful is starting a drive to collect gift cards in order to help the Citizens of Edgewater, NJ. With the assistance of Bogota Mayor Chris Keleman there will be a collection box located in Borough Hall in the secretary's office.  The secretary's office will be open during normal business hours which  are from Monday to Thursday from 8:00a to 5:00p. Bogota Borough Hall is located at 375 Larch Ave. Bogota, NJ

       The weekly " Meet the Mayor"  event will take place in the office of Mayor Chris Keleman from 5:00p to 7:00p in Borough Hall.  This is open to any Bogota resident who would to ask the Mayor a question about  Bogota, or to discuss any matter to help improve the quality of life in the Borough. Anyone who wishes just to have an informal conversation with the Mayor is also welcome to attend. Meetings will be held on a first come basis.

    The Bogota Board of Education will have their regularly scheduled meeting and work session.  This meeting  will take place.in the Cafeteria of the Bogota  High School. The Public is invited to attend this meeting.

Wednesday-11-Feb

  The Bogota High School Creative Writing Class will hold it's first Poetry Slam event. This will take place in the Bogota High School Library starting at 7:00p. Tickets will be $2.00 in advance  and $3.00 at the door.  Proceeds from this event will go to the provide clean & safe water in developing countries. This will be an Open Mic event in order to allow students from the entire High School to recite their original works.    The Steen Hawk Band will present its Winter Concert starting at 7:00p. This will take place in the School Gymnasium. Admittance will be from the Orchard Terrace entrance.

  The Trinity Lutheran School will be having an Open House to show Parents what they have to offer Children of Preschool and Kindergarten ages. There will be an opportunity to meeting some of the Teachers and to learn about the curriculum of Trinity School. There will be two session the first running from 9:30a to 10:30a and a second from 6:30p to 7:30p.

    The Bogota Public Library will host it's Family Movie Night by presenting

the film.                                         

"Alexander and the Terrible Horrible No Good Very Bad Day"

This will start at 6:00p

The Friends of the Bogota Library will be selling snacks and water for $1.00 each. All proceeds fund library programs and new materials.

The week in Bogota Sports Lady Bucs Basketball  On Tuesday 10-Feb  they play a Home Game at Speary  against Palisades Park for a 4:30p game.  On Thursday 12-Feb they travel to Emerson  with a schedule starting time  at 4:00p    The JV Lady Bucs play after the Varsity game on 10-Feb. and on 12-Feb. starting at 5:30p Bucs Basketball On Tuesday 10-Feb  they travel to Palisades Park starting at 7:00p On Thursday 12-Feb they play a Home game in Speary Gym against Emerson with the tip-off scheduled for 7:00p  The Junior Varsity Basketball will play before the Varsity game  at 5:30p on both 10- Feb & 12-Feb. The Boys Freshman team play their games starting at 4:00p on both 10- Feb & 12-Feb. Middle School Basketball   On Wednesday -11-Feb they  will play Ridgefield at Home The Lady Bucs game will start at 4:00p. The Boys game will start at 5:00p   On Friday 30-Jan they travel to Ridgefield Park .The Lady Bucs game will start at 4:00p. The Boys game will start at 5:00p Bogota/Weehawken Wrestling    On Wednesday  11-Feb. they travel to Tenafly , the meet schedule to start at 7:00p
