Bogota Blog NJ along with Bogota Beautiful is starting a drive to collect gift cards in order to help the Citizens of Edgewater, NJ. With the assistance of Bogota Mayor Chris Keleman there will be a collection box located in Borough Hall in the secretary's office. The secretary's office will be open during normal business hours which are from Monday to Thursday from 8:00a to 5:00p. Bogota Borough Hall is located at 375 Larch Ave. Bogota, NJ.

On Sunday 1- Feb. The Bogota Bucs Men's basketball team played a game against Saddle River which was postponed due to the snowstorm on Tuesday 27-Jan. Bogota came away with a 71-62 victory. With this win their record moves to 8-6 which guarantees them a winning record at the State cut off for Section 1 playoff. This would mark a return to the State tournament after missing it for the first time in 32 years after last season. Anthony Ovalle lead the team in scoring with 23 Points, including 14 of 18 from the free throw line.
The Basketball Bucs have also been seeded #1 in the Meadowland Division of the Bergen Invitational Tournament. Thier first round opponent will be #4 Pascack Valley , the game will be play on Sunday 15- February starting at 5:30p. The game will be played at Garfield High School which is located at 500 Palisade Ave. Garfield , NJ
