Bogota Sports

 7-October-2021
     Results from  games played on Wednesday-6-October by the Varsity teams from Bogota.  
 The Bogota Cross Country Bucs competed at the North Jersey Interscholastic Conference (NJIC) Divisional Championships. This took place at the Garrett Mountain Reservation racecourse.  Bogota would would repeat as Patriot Division Champions. The Lady Bucs would win back to back titles by placing 5 runners in the top 8 positions. Amandi Fernandez would be this years Patriot Division Women Champion with her first place finish.  Isabel Michel came in second, with Maryann Gesmundo placing fourth followed by Ashley Bautista in 7th and Salma Abdel-Aziz 8th.
  The Men's team would win their third straight Patriot championship. The Bus runners with place 3rd through 7th to get the win. Bogota top runner was Nick Perry coming in third, next came Dillion Benipayo, Juan Michel, Josh Gesmundo, and Justin Cazar.
  They will next compete in the (NJIC) Conference Championships. These will take place on Wednesday-13- October and take place at the Darlington Park Racecourse.

   The Lady Bucs Volleyball team hosted the Lady Defenders from Hawthorne Christian Academy (HCA) played in Speary Gym.  HCA would serve first , but Bogota would score the first 7 Points of in the first set. they would win this set by a score of 25-7. In the second second The Lady Bucs would serve and score the first 6 points. The Lady Defenders close the margin to 3 Points, but Bogota soon open a number of double digit leads. This allowed Bogota to post a 25-14 second set win and a match 2-0 win. Bogota's record is now 11-1.
  Mia Pimentel had a match high with 20 Assists along with 4 Aces. Gyanna Hernandez And Ashanna Caviness both had 9 Kills and 7 Service points for Bogota. Helena Tobin and Jenelly Jimenez  both recorded  3 Digs
  Bogota next plays on Thursday-7-October when they travel to Saddle River Day School. The first serve is schedule for 4:00p. 
Bogota was given a #8 ranking for the 2021 Bergen County Women Volleyball Tournament. They will open against #23 Westwood on Saturday-9-October. This will be played at home in Speary Gym with a 11:00a First Serve.
