Weekend Sports

 26-October-2021
    Results from the sports play by the Varsity team from Bogota f0r the weekend starting on Friday-22-October
   Friday-22-October
  The Men's Soccer Bucs traveled to Eastern Christian Eagles. Bogota would lose the game by a score of 2-3. 
  The #8 Bogota Lady Bucs would play the #1 Immaculate Heart Academy Blue Eagles in a Bergen County Tournament Quarter Final match at Old Tappan. Bogota would win this match 2-1 (25-22; 16-25; 25-21)  The moved onto the Semi-Final Match on Sunday-24-October. 
  The Bogota Football Bucs traveled to Emerson to play the Cavaliers. Bogota would win this game by a score of 48-19. The Bucs' Gabriel Nunez would score four Touchdowns and run for a career high with 248-yards. Their record is now 6-0. They next play on Thursday-28-October in a Union Division Semi-Final game against Palisades Park. This will be played at Overpeck County Football Field located at  230 Roosevelt Place Palisades Park, NJ. The Kick-off is scheduled for 6:00p
   Saturday-23-October
  The Bogota Cross Country Bucs competed in the Bergen County Group Championship held at Darlington Park. The Lady Bucs would place third in the four team field.  Bogota's Amandine Fernandez finished second over all. The Lady Bucs Junior Varsity squad place 4th in the four team team field. MariaPaula Alarcon Urrea was Bogota top runner  placing 16th
The Men's team would place second in the 5 team field with Nicholas Perry coming in at seventh position. They next compete in the Bergen County meet of Champions on Saturday-30-October. This will be held at the Darlington Park racecourse starting at 11:00a
  Sunday-24-October
  The #8 Bogota Lady Bucs would play the #4 Ridgewood Lady Maroons in a Bergen County Tournament Semi Final match at Old Tappan. Ridgewood would win this match  2-1 ( 25-17; 16-25; 25-23) 
Monday-25-October
  The Men's Soccer Bucs hosted the Waldwick Warriors. Bogota would lose the game by a score of 1-4.  Their record is now 3-12. They next play on Wednesday-27-October when they travel to Cresskill. The kick-off is scheduled for 4:00p
The Lady Bucs Volleyball team traveled to Cresskill to play the Lady Cougars. Bogota would win this match by a score of  2-0 ( 25-11; 25-11) Bogota's record is now 22-2.
  The Lady Bucs will enter the 2021 New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association Group I, Section I playoff tournament as the number 1  seed. They will play on Monday-1-November against the winner of the #9 Cresskill vs #8 Mountain Lakes match to be played on Thursday 28-October.
Note:
Bogota's Gabriel Nunez has been nominated for the North Jersey Football Player of the week. He had 248 yards in 20 carries, 4 rushing touchdown and eight tackles in Bogota's 48-19 win over Emerson on Friday-22-October. Bogota's Mia Pimentel for North Jersey Volleyball Player of the week, She had32 Assists, 11 Digs and two Blocks in Bogota's 2-1 win over IHA.
