Kids Running Series

 On Sunday-5-May the Healthy Kids Running Series in Bogota held its award ceremony. There was one more day of races scheduled, but were canceled due to weather condition. This allowed the presentation of the trophies to take place in the Bogota Recreation Center.  Runners from all the age group were presented with the metals by  Members of the Bogota Rescue Squad.  Captain Wayne Sorge and Daniele Fede  assisted by Christine Mitchell handed out the metal to all the competitors.
  Then Director Zabrina Zee announced the leading runners  from each category. Winners were decided by the best accumulated time over the five weeks of the series. Frank Miranda then handed each winner with their first place trophy. One runner was awarded the top prize of most improved runner throughout the series. 
  Ms. Zee also acknowledge the Bogota High School Cross County Squads, and Head Coach Pat Rochford for their help over the last 6 weeks. The Student Athletes were on hand to coach and guide the young runners on how they could improve their skills at running. She  also thanked was the members  of the Bogota Rescue Squad who provided logistical aid during the program. 
   Then all the runners , and Parents were told they have been invited to march in the Bogota Memorial Day parade on 27-May. And the Ridgefield Park 4th of July parade this year
