On Monday-17-May the Varsity ball clubs of Bogota played those from Midland Park
The Saddle Brook/Bogota Baseball team played the Panthers on the Sandle/Coolidge Baseball Field in Saddle Brook. The home would take an 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning. Midland Park then tied the game in the top of the second inning. Saddle Brook /Bogota recaptured the lead for good scoring five time in their part of the inning. Saddle Brook/Bogota would go on to win the game 12-2. Their record is now 9-3.
Saddle Brook/ Bogota's John Hacker threw 8 Strikes -Outs pitching all five innings that were played. Mr. Hacker would also hit the only Home Run of the game. He, along with Jon Dempsey and Ryan Ramirez all record a game high with 3 Runs Batted In.
Midland Park's starting Pitcher Billy Anema recorded 7 Strike-Out in four innings of work. Mr. Anema had a RBI for the Panthers. Dean Harpster lead his team with 2 Stolen Bases.
They next play on Thursday-20-May against Palisades Park on the Feigel Field Baseball Diamond. This will be the Senior game for Bogota with the first pitch is scheduled for 4:00p.
The Lady Bucs Softball team hosted the Lady Panthers on Lady Buc Field in Olsen Park. Bogota was only able to field eight players and would lose the game by the score of 0-13. Bogota's record is now 2-10.They next play on Thursday-20-May against Palisades Park on the Feigel Field Baseball Diamond. This will be the Senior game for Bogota with the first pitch is scheduled for 4:00p.
Midland Park's Carolyn McCourt threw 13 Strike-outs in the five inning game. Ms. McCourt also hit the games only Home Run. Brandi Shortway had a game high with 5 Runs Batted In. Emma Douma hit two Doubles, and Adrianna Amoe had a Triple.
They next play on Wednesday-19-May against Palisades Park on the Lady Buc Field in Olsen Park Diamond. The first pitch is scheduled for 4:00p.
