Scarlets Baseball

    On Monday-10- May the Ridgefield Park Baseball Scarlets host the Dwight-Morrow Maroon Raiders. Due to field conditions at Biggs Stadium the game was play at Bassano Field in Little Ferry. Dwight-Morrow's David Moreno would start the game off with a single. He would later score the first run of the game.  In the bottom half of the inning the Scarlets'  Michael Buda would reach base, then score on a Sam Aguilar Double to tie the game.  The Maroon Raiders would recapture the lead in the third inning with RBI's hits from Christopher Marte and Julian Suero.  Ridgefield Park then replaced starting pitcher Sam Aguilar with Andre Lekgjionaj  before the end of the inning. 

    The Scarlets used the fourth inning to take their first lead of the game. Sam Aguilar, now playing Shortstop,  would hit a bases clearing triple. This put Ridgefield Park ahead 4-3. Abraham DelRio  would come in to relive David Moreno during the fifth inning.  The Scarlets  would score twice more in the sixth inning, to post a 6-3 win. 

  Ridgefield Park's record is now 2-10.

   The Scarlets would be lead by  Sam Aguilar with 4 Runs Batted In, and have the games only extra base hits with a Double an a Triple. Mr. Aguilar had 2 Strike-Outs. Andre Lekgjionaj threw 3 Strike-Outs and recorded the win.  

   Dwight-Morrow's David Moreno had a game high with 7 Strike-Outs. Christopher Marte and Julian Suero both had 1 Run Batted In for the Maroon Raiders.

  Ridgefield Park's next game is on Wednesday-12-May when the travel to Dwight Morrow. The first Pitch is scheduled for 4:00p.
