Bogota Sports

     Results from games played by the Varsity teams from Bogota.
 The Bogota Bowling Bucs played against the Palisades Park Tigers at the Parkway Lanes in Elmwood Park, NJ. Bogota would score a 7-0 victory. Andreas Cabrera had both match high in games, with a 181. and series with a 495 for Bogota. Janvi Patel lead the Tigers with a 118 game and a 295 series. 
   Bogota's record is now 10-0. They next play on Thursday-6-January against Bergen Charter.   This will be held at the Parkway Lanes in Elmwood Park, NJ. The opening frame is scheduled to start at 4:00p.
   The Men's Basketball Bucs traveled to Hawthorne Christian Academy to play the Defenders. Bogota would open the game with an 18 point first quater lead 23-5. By half time the Bucs took a 54 to 11 advantage into the locker room. Bogota would win the game by a score of 78-18. Bogota's Even Meberg had a game, and career, high with 33 Points. Daniel Trinidad lead all scores with a career high of 4 Three Point Baskets. Joel Walker had team highs of 7 Points including 1 Three Point Basket for the Defenders. 
  Bogota's record is now 2-2. The Bucs next play on Friday-7-January against Midland Park. This will be held on the Jay Mahoney Court in Speary Gym. The tip-off is scheduled for 6:00p.
   The Bogota Lady Bucs hosted the Hawthorne Christian Academy Lady Defenders on the Jay Mahoney Court in Speary Gym. Bogota would score the first two baskets of the game and Hawthorne Christian score the next two. Bogota would double score at 8-4. Soon after that Lady Defenders would close into one point of the home team. Bogota  would get five more points and have a 15-9 lead at the end of the first eight minutes. The Lady Bucs more than double their scoring in the second quater and had a 33-17 advantage into halftime. 
  After the restart  Bogota kept their scoring pace limiting their opponents to just two baskets, from the field, for the rest of the game.  The Lady Bucs would win the game 56-21. Nakayia Fields lead all scorers with a career high of 23 Points. Ms. Fields and Maryann Gesmundo both had 1 Three Point Basket for Bogota. Lady Defenders Christine Williams had a team high with 9 Points.
   The Lady Bucs record is now 2-0. They next play on Friday-7-January at Midland Park. The tip-off is scheduled for 4:00p.
