Bogota Bucs Football

    On Saturday-28-October the Bogota Football Bucs played their final Home Game of the season. Before the start of the game the Seniors from the Football team, the Cheerleaders, the Band and the Twirlers were honour. They presented flowers to their Parents for all the support they were given over the last 4 to 6 years. 
    The Bucs played the Palisades Park/ Leonia Tigers in their season finale at Feigel Field. Bogota scored the first touchdown of the game on a 5 yard run from Andrew Miller, and the extra point was made by Carlos Garcia. The gave Bogota a 7-0 lead after the first 12 Minutes.  The Tigers would tie the score when John Weber would keep the football and stretch out for a touchdown.  At the half the score was tied 7-7 . After the restart  Nick Martinez would recover a Tigers fumble and bring it deep into  Palisades Park/ Leonia territory. Later in the drive  Andrew Miller would hit Eli Bernardo with a 10 yard pass for the winning touchdown. Carlos Garcia would again convert on the extra point to give Bogota a seven point lead. The Bucs would make one drive into the Tigers end of the field and take one attempted to score. Then Bogota just ran the clock out for a 14-7 win. Bogota's record is now 1-6. Their final game of the season is on Friday-3 November at North Arlington, the kick-off is schedule for 7:00p
