Women's Volleyball Team of the Decade

 On Monday-9- December the Bergen Record announced their Team of the Decade for Women's Volleyball. Four members of the Bogota Lady Bucs Volley team from 2010 to 2020 where place on the team.
 Selected to the First Team was Outside Hitter Carly O'Sullivan Bogota High School Class of 2014. 2012 North Jersey Player of the year, she still holds the record for 1,709 Kills by a Bogota Volleyball Player. Named to three All-American teams in 2013. Bergen Record Athlete of the week in 2012. Three time Star-Ledger First team All State. Member of 4 Straight Group I Volleyball Championships from 2010-2013.  Member  of the first Group I School to win the Bergen County Volleyball Tournament in 2012. Ms. O'Sullivan was the second player, and first Women Student Athlete to have their number (#14) Retired.




 

 Selected to the Second Team was Outside Hitter Samantha Gioiosa Bogota High School Class of 2017.  Named to three All-American teams  in 2016. Two time Star-Ledger First team All State. Member of 3 Group I Volleyball Championships in 2013 and 2015-2016. Ms. Gioiosa was the second Women , and third Student Athlete to have their number (#10) Retired.





Selected as Honorable Mentions was Outside Hitter Julia Topor Bogota High School Class of 2013.  Bergen Record Athlete of the week in 2012, Star-Ledger First team All State in 2012. Member of 3 Straight Group I Volleyball Championships from 2010-2012.  Member of the first Group I School to win the Bergen County Volleyball Tournament in 2012.


Selected as Honorable Mentions was Setter Rebecca Kelemen Bogota High School Class of 2013.
