Bogota Community Garden

    The Bogota Community Garden is now accepting reservation for plots to be use in the 2021 growing season.  Membership in the Garden is open to resident of Bogota for their personal use. Planting beds are available for rental at a cost of $50 for an 6 ft x 4 ft space. A maximum  of 2 plots per person can be rented for $75 as a pair. Deadline to rent a planter box will be Saturday-15- May. Larger planting boxes are planned for the 2021 season. The growing season official runs from May to November. 
  The garden is a fenced in area that has walking spaces between each planting box. The garden provides shed to store gardeners tools, rain collecting  barrels, and a composting area. There are also benches within the garden itself. 
  Gardeners are permitted any type of vegetables, or plants for personal use only. Gardeners must supply their own tools, and assist in maintain the garden area. This includes keeping the path around each planting box clear and weed free. All gardeners are responsible for the removal of their own, non-composting refuse. Only organic fertilizers and pest control material are allowed to be used. 
   The Bogota Community Garden will have  two mandatory meeting with renters. One is in the Month of May, at the start of growing season. And the second will be in October as the season starts to end. During the Summer months the Bogota Community Garden committee will hold  regular meeting on the fourth Wednesday of each month.

   A volunteer Spring clean-up is planed before the growing season begins
