On Monday-19-April the Varsity ball club of Ridgefield Park play those from Cliffside Park. This was the opening day of the 2021 season for both the Softball and Baseball teams. The Baseball Scarlets traveled to Cliffside Park to play the Red Raiders. Before the opening pitch Cliffside Park took the time to remember their Coach Ben Luderer who past away last Summer due to complications from covid-19.

Ridgefield Park would score two runs to start off the game. Cliffside Park would answer them with a pair of runs in the bottom of the 1st inning. The game remained tied until the Scarlets score one in the top of the third. Cliffside Park then scored four runs in the home part of the third inning. The Red Raiders would score three more runs and have a home win by the score of 9-3. The Scarlets' record is now 0-1
The two team each other again on Tuesday-20-April on the Biggs Stadium Baseball Diamond. This will be the Scarlets Home Opener. The first pitch is scheduled for 4:00p
The Ridgefield Park Lady Scarlets softball team hosted the Lady Red Raiders on the Biggs Stadium Softball Field. Cliffside Park would score at least on run in every inning. Ridgefield Park would score three runs in the home half of the third inning to close the margin to 3-7. The visitors would have a four run 5th then 7th inning to come away with a 19-7 win. Ridgefield Park's record is now 0-1.
The Lady Scarlets next play on Tuesday-20-April when they travel to Westwood. The first pitch is scheduled for 4:00p.
