Bergen County
The Bergen County Community testing site for covid-19 will continue to be open at the Bergen Community College in the Lot B location. This is being sponsored by Bergen County in cooperation with the New Bridge Medical Center. Testing will continue of various days until Saturday-1-May. Anyone wishing to revive a test must pre-register. This will be open starting at 9:00a to 2:30p, with check-in starting at 8:00p This will be a nasal swab test with results available in 24 hours.
All people taking a test must have proper identification, Accepted forms of ID are a driver’s license or identification card, Social Security card, passport, or birth certificate. For those without legal status, a foreign passport is accepted. Residents also have to show proof they live or work in Bergen County. An insurance card is also required, again residents who do not have health insurance will still be able to get tested.
In addition the Bergen County site at the New Bridge Medical Center are available to the General Public regardless of showing, or not showing symptoms. The New Bridge testing site requires a pre-register.

 The organization Never Alone Again Domestic Violence Organization & Resource Center (NAAG) will provide hot meals to go every Friday until 11-May. These will be provided by various local restaurants from Bergen County. There will be one meal for each Family Member. Distribution will start at 5:30p from their resource centre located at  668 American Legion Dr. Teaneck, NJ.

The Ridgefield Park Environmental Commission along with the Ridgefield Park & Bogota Green Teams host the 2021 Earth Day and Green Fair. This will take place at Riverfront Park located at 24 Industrial Ave. Ridgefield Park NJ. This will begin at 10:00a and continue until 5:00p.  Admission and all actives are free of charge. This time they will focus on the Riverside Dr trail between Cedar Ln and Pomander walk.  The event will start at 10:00a and go until 12:00n. Volunteers are asked to meet at the Cedar Ln. entrance.   The Bergen County Historical Society will host their Under the Shad Moon event for 2021. This year it will focus on fiber and stone artifact of the ancient past of the Hackensack River Valley. Th is was original scheduled for Sunday-25-April but was changed due to the weather. The Ridgefield Park's  Elks Lodge #1506 will hold its annual Cassetta-Dietrich Memorial Golf Outing at Meadow Golf Club in Lincoln Park NJ.   Registration opens at 8:00 a with a Tee Time at 9:00a. This will be followed by a Beefsteak Dinner that evening. Tickets for both the golfing  and dinner are priced at $125 per person. For the dinner alone is $35.00 per person. The Breakfast will feature an Omelette station, Pancakes, Bacon,Sausage, French toast, & scrambled eggs. There will also be pastries, cereal along with Coffee, Tea, Milk & Juice. It is asked to bring some Non-perishable food items for the Local Food Pantry.

The Bogota  Environmental Commission will host its the annual Shred Day event this will take place from 9:00a to 1:00p. At this event plastic bags, that can no longer be recycled, will be collected by the Trex Corporation which will donate a new park bench, made from recycled materials  This is  a free service open to Bogota residents. There will be a shredding truck present which will allow residents to safely  dispose of any personally , or sensitive paper document they may have. This is also a more environmentally friendly way of disposing of those documents. Paper is feed into a secure truck while being shredded then the truck transport the shredded paper to a processor which turns the paper into a fine dust, or powder which is then recycled into various paper products. 
   The Bogota Public Library is scheduled to have a used book sale at the same time and place
This will be held at the Bogota Recreation Center located at 162 W. Main St. Bogota, NJ.

This is Memorial Day weekend several closing have been announced. 
   - The Bogota Public Library will be closed on Saturday-29-May. They will reopen on Tuesday-1-June with regular hours.
 - The Schools of the Bogota Public School system will be closed. Regular on line classes will resume on Tuesday-1-June 
  - There will be no lawn waste collection on Monday- 31-May. The Bogota Recycling Center will be closed on Saturday-29 May. It will re-open on Tuesday-1-June
 - Borough Hall offices will be closed on Monday-31-May
