Some updated , and additional information about Bogota Day 2015.
The Bogota Recreation Commission is hosting Bogota Day 2015. This will take place in Olsen Park Bogota, NJ on Saturday 13-June. The event will kickoff at 12:00 noon with a performance be the Bogota High School Jazz Band. Music throughout the event will be provided by DJ Hector Martinez with the Sounds of Music. Some other entertainment that is scheduled will be" Triangulo" a New York dance studio dedicated to the art of the Argentine Tango. 'Dance3volution" a Hackensack dance school expanding the horizons of modern dance by including all form of dance. Just added is a Bogota based band, "As Glory Fades", they will be a Heavy Metal and Metalcore sound to the evening's entertainment. All performances will be at the Bandshell of Olsen Park.
More activities will be rides for for the Student (prices to be announced latter). There will be a Car & Motorcycle show sponsored by Hackensack Auto Repair & Collision. The vehicles will be on display along Bogota Day Blvd. ( the W. Main St ext.).Registration is still available for $10. Day of the show registration will be available for $15. To register please go to: bogotarec.org The Car show starts at 12:00 noon and will continue throughout the day. Bogota Beautiful will be offer bus tours of Bogota throughout the day. These will be 4 half hour tours of Bogota highlighting the historic and other points of interest of Bogota, NJ. Tour are scheduled at 11:00a 12:00a 2:00p & 3:00p. There will be a suggested donation of $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for Students under 16. Sign-up is available in advance by going to their website at: http://www.bogotabeautiful.com/
A number of local organizations will be onhand selling food, having activities, along with information about their programs.
