Weekend Events

  Some event happening in and around Bogota for the weekend starting on Thursday 4-June.

Starting on Wednesday 3-June the Bogota Public Library are now accepting U.S. passport applications. Thursday-4-June
Bogota, NJ

The Bogota Borough Council will be holding their regular Council meeting  and work session starting at 7:30p. It will take place in the Council Chambers of Borough Hall. Borough Hall is located at 375 Larch Ave. Bogota, NJ.  This meeting is open to the public.

Saturday-6- June

   The Bogota Recreation Commission will be hosting a  Junior Football & Cheerleading  sign-up at the Vince Scully Field in Olsen Park.  This will start at 3:00p and go until 6:00p ( rain or shine)    Bogota plays in the Bi-County Junior Scholastic Football League (BCJSFL) which consist eight other teams located from Englewood in the North to Secaucus & Weehawken to the South. The teams will  play an a regulation size football field, with all home game will be played at Feigel Field in Bogota.
   All divisions are opened to Girls  and Boys who live and attend any of the schools in Bogota, and neighboring communities.
- The Pee-Wee is for the youngest players which is for student from 2nd to 4th grade, and are under 11 years of age.
- The Junior division is for those players who are in 5th & 6st grade and are under the age of 13.
- The Senior division are those players who will be in 7th & 8th grade and are younger the 15 years of age.

Also anyone wanting to join the Rec Cheerleaders may  sign up at this time. The Rec Cheerleaders are the same age groups as the Football  team, and is open to students from other Communities as well.  They will take part at  both the Home and away games to support the Junior Bucs .    The rabies clinic originally schedule for January  will now take this Saturday starting at 10:00a to 12:00 noon This will take place at the W. Broad St. Firehouse in Bogota. Cats and Dogs will be available.

  There will be a car wash to be held at the  W. Broad St. Firehouse  starting at 12:30 p and going to 3:00 p  Proceeds from this event will go to help the High School Bogota Bucs Football  Rain date will be Sunday 7-June.

  The ARC of Bergen & Passaic Counties will be holding their 18th Annual " Step up for ARC" walk  at Olsen Park in Bogota, NJ. This will be an Afternoon of activities including Music, and  Games. before and after the walk itself.  All process will go to  The ARC of Bergen & Passaic Counties to help with their effort to provide enhanced opportunities for citizens with intellectual or other disabilities. ARC also  provides  advocacy ,   and customized support   to families as well.

       The weekly " Meet the Mayor"  event will take place in the office of Mayor Chris Keleman  This is open to any Bogota resident who would to ask the Mayor a question about  Bogota, or to discuss any matter to help improve the quality of life in the Borough. Anyone who wishes just to have an informal conversation with the Mayor is also welcome to attend. Meetings will be held on a first come basis. This will run from 5:00p to 7:00p in the Mayors office. His office is on in Bogota Borough Hall located at 375 Larch Ave. Bogota, NJ.
