Basketball Day in Bogota part 1

 16- February-2021

 On Tuesday-16- February there was a triple of games held on the Jay Mahoney Court in Speary Gym. This took advantage of the Winter Break for the 2021 School year, This also marked the return of Spectators allow into the gym to watch the games.  Last week New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy signed the executive order allowing for in person attendance at home sporting events.  This includes Both Middle School and Varsity Basketball.  The limit is 35 % of capacity, for Speary Gym that is 137 total person allowed in the gym.   This number includes Players, Coaches, Media and Parent. Under this order on 2 Parents per Student Athlete is allowed.  Safe spacing is marked on the seating area.  Everyone entering the gym will be have their temperature taken, anyone over 100.4 degrees is not permitted to enter the building.  Masks must be worn at all times. Only the individual restrooms  will be open for Public use. 

   The first game to take place was the Bogota Middle School Lady Bucs. They play the Lady Rams from Lodi. Bogota would open the scoring and then go on to lead after the end of the first quarter by a score of 6-1. In the second quarter the Lady Bucs would double their score and take a 12- 3 lead into half time.  Bogota would go on to win the game  17-11.

  The next play Thursday-18-February at Butler. The game is scheduled to start at 4:00p
