Ridgefield Park Basketball

  On Friday-12-February the Ridgfield Park Men's Basketball Scarlets hosted the Demarest Norsemen on the Dr. John C Richardson Court. Demarest would take an early lead, and build it to double digits with-in the first quarter. Ridgfield Park would slowly start to score on their own, and the first quarter would end with the the Norsemen holding on to a 16-7 lead. The next quater saw the Scarlets matching each basket, and closing the margin by two. Demarest still took a lead into half time 26-19.  After the restart the Scarlets 'offense out scored their opponents by 5 and at three quater time and moved the deficit to only 2 points. The final quater saw Ridgefield Park continue to push the pace and take their first lead of the game 38-37. This would the first of a number of lead changes for the rest of the game. Just before the 4 minute mark the Norsemen would launch a three pointer to tie the game at 44. Soon after that Ridgefield  Park would move ahead for the final time.  This was the start of a 17-7 run for the Scarlets, propelling them to a 61-51 win. 
  The Scarlets record is now 4-3. AJ Huddleston for Ridgefield Park, and Demarest's Ryan Sabot both would finish the game having a high of 19 Points apiece. The Men's team will next play on Tuesday-16-February when they host  Dumont on the Dr. John C Richardson Court The tip-off is scheduled for  7:00p. Junior Varsity game precedes at 5:30p. This game was originally scheduled for Thursday but moved a day back. This will be lived streamed at   Ridgefield Park Athletics
