Bogota Basketball

 On Friday -12-February the varsity teams from Bogota played those from Dwight-Englewood. The Bogota Lady Bucs traveled to Dwight-Englewood to play the Lady Bulldogs. Bogota would take an early 7-0 lead to start the game. They would maintain that lead to midway into the first quarter. The Lady Bulldogs would start to intercept  Bogota passes and turn them into points which closed the gap. By the end of that quater The Lady Bucs would only have a 13-11 lead.  The second quater began with Dwight-Englewood going on a 10 to 1 run which gave them the lead. The half would end with the Lady Bulldogs ahead 25-21. Dwight-Englewood would go on to win the game by a score of 54-45. The Lady Bucs record is now 2-2. Kylie Cabana would have the high score with 25 Points for Bogota. Karina Pink lead Dwight-Englewood with 17-Points.

  The Lady Bucs next play on Tuesday-16-February against Mary Help of Christian Academy. This will be played on the Jay Mahoney Court in Speary Gym. The tip-off is scheduled for 4:00p.  The game will be Live streamed at Bogota BoE     

  The Men's Basketball Bucs hosted Dwight-Englewood on the Jay Mahoney Court in Speary Gym. The teams started at a high pace which saw multiply lead changes. By the end of the first eight minutes the Bulldogs held a 19-18 lead. In the second quarter Dwight-Englewood would use their size to limit the Bogota chances, while doubling their own point total. The halftime score saw the Bulldogs ahead 38-26. The third quarter would again see action quickly move from one side of the court to the other. Dwight-Englewood would also continue to add to their lead and come away with a 75-55 road win.  Bogota's record is now 2-2.  The Bucs were lead by Ashanti Caviness with 22 Points. This included a game high of 5 Three Points Baskets. The Bulldogs' David Mager finished with a game high of 23 Points, including a team high of 2 Three Point Baskets.

  The Men's will also  play on Tuesday-16-February against Garfield. This will be played on the Jay Mahoney Court in Speary Gym. The tip-off is scheduled for 2:00p.  The game will be Live streamed at Bogota BoE .
