Scarlet Basketball

 On Thursday-3 February the Ridgefield Park Men's Basketball Scarlets  traveled to Ramsey to play the Rams. Ramsey took an early lead off of a number of Three Point baskets.  They would continue to hold the lead into half time by the score of 28-21.  After the re-start both teams would  only be able to score in single digits, with the Rams adding two points to their lead 37-28. In the final eight minutes the points flowed  at a quicker pace. Ramsey was able to maintain their advantage and would finish with a 56-41 Home win.
  Ridgefield Park  was lead by Romel Camilo with 17 Points. Ramsey's grant Holbrook had a game high with 21 Points.
  The Scarlets would next play on Saturday-6 -February when they traveled to Pascack Valley to play the Indians. Pascack Valley would score first and have 6-2 lead midway in the first quarter. The Scarlets would then go on a 11-2 run and  have a 12-10 lead after the minutes. Ridgefield Park would push the lead to nine  during the second quarter. The visitors would maintain that gap into halftime  by the score of 33-24. In the second half Pascack Valley was able to cut into their deficit slowly as time passed. Eventually the Indians would go on an 11 Point run and tie the score at 40.  Ridgefield Park would then take the lead back for the final time in the game. By three quarter time the Scarlet held a 4 Point lead. in the fourth quarter opened a six point gap, but Pascack Valley again came back. Ridgefield Park would hold on for a 57- 55 road win.
  They record is now 3-2 Jenci Reyes lead all scorers with 25 Points. The Indians    Koolery had 21 Points. They are next scheduled to play Pascack Hill on Tuesday 9-February on the Dr. John C Richardson Court with a 7:00p Tip-off. the Junior Varsity game will precede this at 5:30p. And the Freshman game at 4:00p This will be lived stream at Ridgefield Park Athletics 
   On Thursday-3 February  the Lady Scarlets hosted the Ramsey Lady Rams on the Dr. John C Richardson Court. Ridgefield  Park would open the game with the first six Points. Ramsey would go on a 11-2 to end the first quarter ahead 11-8. the Lady Rams also held a 21-17 advantage at the half. The Lady Scarlet were held to single digits in each of the first three quarters.  When the score opened up in the final eight minutes Ridgefield park could not over come their opponents and Ramsey had a 53-30 road win. 
   The Lady Scarlets now have a record of 2-2. Jade Martinez had a game high with 26 Points including 3 Three Point Basket for Ridgefield Park. The Lady Rams were led by Katie Grave with 16 Points and Amanda Rosen with 2 Three Point Baskets.
  They are next scheduled to travel to Pascack Hill on Tuesday 9-February  with a 7:00p Tip-off. The Junior varsity game will precede this at 5:30p.
