Results of sports played on Wednesday-29-September by Bogota Varsity teams.
The Bogota Soccer Bucs traveled to Waldwick to play the Warriors. The home team would get three goals in the first half. Then score another two in the second half for a 5-0 win. Alex Manziano would have a game high with 2 Goals for Waldwick. Bogota's record is now 1-5.
They next play on Friday-1-October against Cresskill. This will be played at home on Zakrzewski Field in Olsen Park. The Kick Off is scheduled for 4:00p
The Bogota Cross Country Bucs would compete in week 3 of the North Jersey Interscholastic Conference meet at Garrett Mountain. The Lady Bucs ran against full squads from Waldwick and Bergen Arts and Science. Bogota would defeat Bergen Arts and Science by a score of 15-50. The Lady Bucs would have five runners in the top scoring positions. Amandine Fernandez would finish first. Against Waldwick they would win by a 15-46 margin. The Lady Bucs would have five runners in the top scoring positions. Amandine Fernandez would finish first. Their record is 7-0.
The Men's team also competed against Bergen Arts and Science and Waldwick. They would defeat Waldwick by a score of 25-36. Bogota's Nicholas Perry would place third in the race. He would be followed by, in order, by four other Bucs runner to secure the win. Joseph Capuzzo would place first for the Warriors. Bogota's record is now 7-0.
Both squads next compete on Saturday-2-October in the Brett Taylor Invitational. This will be held at the Darlington Park race course.
