On Monday-22-March the Ridgefield Park Lady Scarlets Volleyball team traveled to Cliffside Park to play the Red Raiders.
Ridgefield Park would serve first but the Red Raiders would score the opening two points of the match. Ridgefield Park would then tie the score at 2, 3, 4 and again at 5 Points apiece. The Lady Scarlets would break tie by going on a 6 to 1 point run and double the advantage over their hosts . Ridgefield Park maintained their lead and go on to will the first set 25-19
The second set started with Cliffside Park serving and the Lady Scarlets scoring first. They opened a five point lead, only to have the Red Raiders score the next six of seven points to tie the set at 9-9. This set saw a total of eight ties and a many lead changes. Both teams quickly approached the 20 threshold and saw the set tied at that stage. Cliffside Park took a two point lead. Then this was matched by the Lady Scarlets at 22-22. The Red Raiders moved to one point of a set win at 24-23. Ridgefield Park force another tie to guarantee that extra points will be needed to win this set. The visitors had their turn to moved one point from a win at 26-25. Cliffside Park scored the next three point and tied the match with a 28-26 win.
As in their first meeting this season the teams would need to go to a third set to find a match winner. This final set had 9 ties, four lead changes and neither allowing their opponent to have more than a four point advantage. The teams were tie, for the last time at 23 all. The Lady Scarlets would finally end the match with a 25-23 third set win and a 2-1 match victory.
This makes Ridgefield Park's record 4-1.
The Lady Scarlet's were led by Alex Pantoilano with 7 Kills. Jasmin Garcia had a team high with 14 Assist and 5 Aces along with 1 Block. Alexa Bigler and Nicolina Echevarria also scored 5 Aces Ahmad Emani record 5 Digs.
