Starting on Thursday-2-March the Bergen County Community testing site for covid-19 will continue to be open at the Bergen Community College in the Lot B location. This is being sponsored by Bergen County in cooperation with the New Bridge Medical Center. Testing will continue of various days until Thursday-23March. Anyone wishing to revive a test must pre-register. This will be open starting at 9:00a to 2:30p, with check-in starting at 8:00p This will be a nasal swab test with results available in 24 hours.
All people taking a test must have proper identification, Accepted forms of ID are a driver’s license or identification card, Social Security card, passport, or birth certificate. For those without legal status, a foreign passport is accepted. Residents also have to show proof they live or work in Bergen County. An insurance card is also required, again residents who do not have health insurance will still be able to get tested.
In addition the Bergen County site at the New Bridge Medical Center are available to the General Public regardless of showing, or not showing symptoms. The New Bridge testing site requires a pre-register.

This will be presented by members of The Brain Bunch (https://www.thebrainbunch.com/) for a 2 part program Thursdays-11 & 18-March starting at 6:30p that explores the basic parts of the brain, the neuron, and the five senses in online activities. These fun activities include demonstrations and games throughout. The Bogota Public Library will host a Friday virtual craft ideas workshop, which can be done at home. This is schedule to start at 3:00p. The Bogota Public Library is hosting a virtual NJ Makers Day this year. Our program will be held virtually, but that does not mean the fun will stop! Our theme this year is all about animals. Please register each child for the event to pick up your Makers Kit prior to the event. We will notify you when it is ready. All the materials will be for the event on 3/20. The kids portion will be held from 10-11:30 beginning with a Bilingual Storytime. Presentations and review of craft materials will follow.

    The Borough of Bogota will hold its annual free rabies clinic. This will still take place at the  W. Broad St. Fire House and will run from 10:00a to 12:00 noon.  
This year it is asked that all appointments need to be made by reservation. 
 -All dogs must be restrained with a with a non-retractable 6 foot leash. Other  safety controls to allow unimpeded access for the veterinarian may be used for smaller pets. 
-All cats must be transported in suitable pet carriers.

  Zumba Fitness is hosted a series of Zumba classes in the month of March. These will take place om Mondays and Wednesday at 7:00p, and Saturdays at 10:00a. Classes will be held at the Bogota VFW post 5561 Hall. Prices are $7.00 per class or a group of 10 for $70.00 with a pass for an additional class. All participants must register in advance. The Ridgefield Park Elks Lodge # 1506 will be holding a All you can eat Breakfast. This will start at 8:30a and go until 12:00 noon Prices are $10 for Adults and $5 for student 12 and under. The Breakfast will feature an Omelette station, Pancakes, Bacon,Sausage, French toast, & scrambled eggs. There will also be pastries, cereal along with Coffee, Tea, Milk & Juice. It is asked to bring some Non-perishable food items for the Local Food Pantry.

The Bergen County Historical Society will host a walking tour of Historic New Bridge Landing. This scheduled to start at 1:30p and be hosted by past president Deborah Powell. Meet in the Meadow, space is limited to 25 people.   Wearing of masks and distancing required. . Weekend Sports 

   Due to the current health situation only Family members of the Home School will be allowed to attend in person. Speary Gym in Bogota will have limited seating for 2 Family members per Student, Or 35% capacity. Ridgefield Park will have limited seating of 2 Parents per Student.
 Bogota and Ridgefield Park compete as a co-operative Wresting program using the name Scarlet/Bucs most home meets will be held in Speary Gym in Bogota. Any meets to be held in Ridgefield  Park will be announced when confirmed.
