Scarlet Basketball

   On Monday-1-March the Ridgefield Park Basketball Scarlets travel to Garfield to play the Boilermakers. 
   The Scarlets took a early  two point lead. Garfield then accounted for the next five points.  The teams trade baskets and worked to tie the game at 9 apiece. Ridgefield Park would build a  5 point lead and have a 16-13 lead at the end of the first quater.  The second quarter saw the Scarlet again take a five point lead. Garfield came back to tie the game at 20-20, then again at 25-25.  The Boilermakers could not cross over to get another lead of their own with the guest staying one score ahead for most of the first half.  Coming up to half-time the Ridgefield would go on a 12 to 3 run and enter intermission ahead 37-28.  After the restart the Scarlets extended their advantage capping the third quarter with a three point basket to reach the half century mark 50-36 at the buzzer. Ridgefield Park stayed in the lead got the rest of the game and left with a 67-50 road win. Ridgefield Park’s record is now 10-4.
   The Scarlets’ Romel Camilo led all scores with 23 Points including a game high of 3 Three Point Baskets. Garfield’s Zack Cook had a team high with 21 Points. 
   Ridgefield Park is next scheduled to play on Saturday-6-March against Leonia . This is scheduled start at 1:00p.  The Junior Varsity game will precede at 11:00a.  This will take place on the Dr. John C Richardson Court . Only  a limited number home team Parents are allowed to attend games in person  This will be lived streamed at  Ridgefield Park Athletics
